Living with HIV

Three people living with HIV in New Zealand tell us their story

Living With HIV

HIV doesn’t need to affect the quality of your life. Check out the stories of these people. They’re doing the things they love and all expect to enjoy long, healthy lives - thanks to a better understanding of HIV, partnering with the right specialist as well as ongoing developments in treatment.

Support Groups

Getting diagnosed with HIV can come as quite a shock. Disbelief, stress, anger – these are all normal responses. But remember there are support groups with people who understand what you’re going through. They offer counselling, social events and can keep you up-to-date on the latest medications.
